Here we are in Toronto after having caught an earlier plane - 5 o'clock instead of 7. We were also pleased to have had an international airplane instead of the usual small commuter one. Had our own pods. Have enjoyed a delightful snack courtesy of the Air Canada Lounge. We have about a 3-hour wait until our flight to Rio which is currently on time. We seem to have managed to leave during a break in the weather - freezing rain yesterday and heaps of snow forecasted for tomorrow. We are lucky to have this window of opportunity to get out of Ottawa. Checked the weather for Rio and wished I hadn't! Rain and only 22 degrees tomorrow when we land. Guess we'll have to put our dream of relaxing around the hotel pool tomorrow afternoon on hold.
